In our homes, we have so many things which we have not used for months or years, like books, toys, clothes, etc. which can be donated to the poor.
Do you remember that moment when you gave something to someone without expecting anything in return?
Didn’t it feel great?
Yes, it did!
In ancient India, the act of donating (daan) was given a lot of significance because it’s an act of purification. It purifies your mind, body and soul.
We are human beings, we feel amazed when we help someone or give something to someone in need. You can definitely identify the people in need and can help them and create a better, stronger and more compassionate world, full of wonderful people.
You can donate books, toys, clothes, food or anything which you think might help someone in someway. You can even donate to NGOs who are working on causes which are close to your hearts.
Next time you see something which can be donated, just do it. It will bring a smile on someone’s face.
And that smiling face is priceless!
